(Not offered in 2014-15) Covers the basic concepts needed to develop electromagnetic devices in communication circuits/systems. Wave propagation and transmission, antenna concepts, design considerations, Friis transmission formula and radar equation, transmission line theory and guided waves. Prerequisite(s): PHY 121 or equivalent.
