HST 481 - Seminar in East Asian History: Remembering World War II in Asia

Course Units: 1
(Winter; Madancy) World War II was the most destructive conflict of the twentieth century, but many students in America are unfamiliar with the toll it took on Asia and why residual tensions between Japan, China, and Korea remain so real and so raw today. This course examines how the war came about, how it is remembered, and how its complex legacy still affects the region. Prerequisite(s): Any 100-level or 200-level history course or permission of the instructor. CC: LCC
