EGL 217 - (214) Enlightenment and RomanticismCourse Units: 1 (Winter; Kuhn) (Offered twice every four years) Consideration of the relationships between two major currents in modern European thought and culture: Enlightenment and Romanticism. Authors will range from Descartes to Nietzsche and may include Voltaire, Rousseau, Goethe, and Kant.
