HST 322 - Slavery and Freedom

(Not offered this Academic Year) Examines major themes in the historiography of American slavery. Topics include the relationship between racism and the growth of slave labor, the development of African American slave culture, the nature of the enslaved family, and the transition from slavery to freedom.
