This course examines how authors such as Agustin Fernandez Mallo, Jorge Carrion, Alberto Olmos, Juan Francisco Ferre, Javier Fernandez, among others use new media technologies to mutate words in print and print across media platforms. To understand the role of media in print, this course includes a series of hands-on workshops and a series of digital assignments. Students will read, watch, and analyze the work of these authors by engaging in research projects, reading short stories, book chapters, newspaper articles, blogs, and watching trailers, presentations, even spoken word DJ performances. Prerequisite(s): SPN 203  or permission of the instructor. CC: LCCS, HUM
