HST 312 - “Bonds of a Woman”: History of Women’s Rights in the United States

(Not Offered this Academic Year) This course examines major themes in the study of women’s rights in the United States. Topics include constitutional and legal rights changes over time; the interplay of gender with race, class, and sexuality involved in “rights” movements since the nineteenth century; and current controversies over women’s rights. Prerequisite(s): Any 100-level or 200-level history course or permission of the instructor.
