SPN 330 - Mexican Women’s Contemporary Short FictionCourse Units: 1 (Not Offered this Academic Year) This course focuses on Mexican women’s contemporary short fiction. Its analytical structure centers on reading stories from three anthologies that deal with three of the most significant formative female experiences in contemporary Latin-American societies: the mother, the family, and schools. The axis of conversation and analysis follows a feminist theoretical path while keeping in mind also local cultural, social and economic realities, racial and ethnic identities, and temporal specificities.
