EGL 110 - The Poetic Process

This course will introduce students to the pleasures of poetry by way of the process of creating it. Students will read and discuss poems by a diverse range of contemporary poets, respond to writing prompts that clarify the structure of these poems while encouraging individual experimentation, and complete a final portfolio of carefully revised assignments. 100-level courses are open to all students.
