EGL 284 - Interactive Fiction Workshop Course Units: 1 Interactive fiction is storytelling that uses technology to create an interactive “reading” experience, requiring the reader to make choices that influence the plot. In this course you are going to read, critique, and create interactive fiction. You’ll develop your storytelling skills, and along the way you’ll learn some programming concepts, and history of narrative. video games. We’ll also consider how race, gender, class, sexuality, and (dis)ability shape our experiences of these games as players and writers. No previous CS experience is necessary. Students will need access to a laptop for class. Cross-Listed: CSC 084 Prerequisite(s): One 100-level English course, a score of 5 on the AP English Language or Literature and Composition test, or permission of instructors.
