What are the processes determining plant growth, fitness and survival? Why do plant species live where they do? How are plants physiologically adapted to their environment and how will they respond to changes in environmental conditions? In this course, we will explore the complex and remarkable world of plants, investigating the relationships between plants and their environment from a physiological perspective. We will examine key plant processes, including photosynthesis, respiration, water transport, nutrient acquisition, and
