CHM 330 - Medicinal Chemistry

This course focuses on medicinal chemistry and the underlying principles of organic chemistry. Topics to be covered include drug discovery and approval, lead modification, drug-receptor interactions, structure-activity relationships (SAR), drug delivery, pro-drugs and biomimetics. Physicochemical properties and synthetic approaches to drug families will be emphasized. Prerequisite(s): CHM 232
