GEO 201 - Sedimentology and Stratigraphy Course Units: 1.0 The course covers a range of topics including sediment transport and deposition, classification and description of clastic and sedimentary rocks, depositional environments, and an introduction to stratigraphy. Stratigraphic and sedimentologic concepts are explored through weekly field and laboratory studies and comparison with modern depositional systems. Prerequisite(s): Any 100-level geosciences course or ENS 100 Corequisite(s): GEO 201L CQ: SCLB, WAC Lecture/Lab Hours One lab per week. ISP: ENS
