AAH 265 - Environmentalism and Globalization in Contemporary Art Course Units: 1.0 This course explores how contemporary Eco artists address urgent environmental issues, including pollution, biodiversity loss, overconsumption, deforestation, and climate change. Students will examine innovative artistic practices such as public art, performance, technology-based projects, and community collaboration, while considering art’s role in promoting environmental awareness and action. Applying these approaches, students will work collaboratively to research, design, and install a creative campus intervention that engages the community, sparks dialogue, and encourages meaningful responses to a pressing environmental challenge.
