ECO 364 - Business Analytics

This is a hands-on, example-driven course designed to teach analytical, and modeling skills used in business. Students learn how to organize information in a spreadsheet format; build structured, auditable Excel models using best practices; use advanced Excel functions (XLOOKUP, XMATCH, INDEX, LET); retrieve, clean, transform, and manipulate data using Power Query; understand how to use dynamic arrays and dynamic array functions (GROUPBY, SORTBY, FILTER); automate repetitive tasks with formulas, logic and VBA; develop problem solving skills; and create their own analytical project in Excel. Prerequisite(s): ECO 243 (or STA 264 ) CQ: SOCS
