AAH 218 - Social Impact of Art and Entrepreneurship Course Units: 1.0 This hands-on course explores how arts and culture can transform communities through creative placemaking and support both community and economic development. Students examine how creative practice fosters vibrant, resilient social ecosystems, drawing on case studies, field research, and guest speakers. Working in collaboration with community partners, students design and produce a public pop-up event, gaining real-world experience in project management, design thinking, communication, marketing, and resource development. The course highlights the role of the arts in strengthening community well-being and is ideal for students seeking to create meaningful impact through creative action while developing entrepreneurial skills.
