AST 250 - Planetary Science Course Units: 1 An introduction to the field of planetary science, with an emphasis on a scientific understanding of the Solar System. Topics include: formation and evolution of the Solar System; Kepler’s Laws and orbits; physical processes in the Solar System; planetary geology and atmospheres; properties of planets, satellites,; asteroids and comets; extra solar planets; habitability. Prerequisite(s): PHY 120 , IMP 120 or 200-level GEO course. Recommended: AST 100
