PSY 452 - Seminar: Eating & Body Image

This course will focus on normative and pathological body image, weight, and eating behaviors. In the beginning of the course, students will be trained to deliver the Body Project, an empirically supported cognitive-dissonance based eating disorder prevention program. Students will develop a research idea to test with their Body Project workshop participants. Over the course of the term, students will give one Body Project workshop and write a final research paper on their findings. Prerequisite(s): PSY 250 and PSY 300 or permission of the instructor.
