ATH 233 - Performance Devising

Performance Devising engages students in a practical exploration of devised and ensemble-based theatre practices. Students will be exposed to a variety of pedagogies in ensemble theatre making, including improvisation, adaptation, found text, Verbatim theatre, movement, dance, Viewpoints and Composition and theater for social change. Students will engage in both experiential and reflective practices that integrate the processes of research, conceptual design, creation of original work, reflection on that work, and studying existing processes of devising.
