As Artificial Intelligence (AI) reshapes global power, a foundational question emerges: Is intelligence a universal mathematical constant or a reflection of the cultural logics and linguistic structures of its creators? This course examines the intersection of mathematical logic, language, and the global competition to define AI standards. Moving from theory to application, students explore how distinct intellectual traditions-from Western symbolic logic to Eastern relational philosophy-inform machine intelligence and embed cultural values into code. Students will develop quantitative and cultural literacy to navigate modern technology, discovering that the AI race is not just for computer chips, but for the logical foundations of the future.
