(also AAH 200) (Not offered in 2013-14) An introductory survey of the arts of Greece and Rome, including painting, sculpture, architecture, and decorative arts. Emphasis will be placed upon learning art historical and archaeological terminology and methods, the place of art and architecture in ancient society and culture, and contacts with other cultures, in addition to becoming familiar with the most important monuments, artists, and patrons.
