MER 201 - Particle MechanicsCourse Units: 1
(Fall, Winter) A basic engineering science course concerned with the kinematics and kinetics of particles. The course material includes both Newtonian and energy approaches to problem solutions. Students are introduced to the use of free body and mass-acceleration diagrams in the solution of problems. The approach taken to the solution of problems relies heavily on vectors and calculus. Prerequisite(s): PHY 120 , MTH 115 or IMP112 or IMP 121 Corequisite(s): MER-201L
