MER 213 - Material Science

(Fall, Spring) A basic engineering science course required in several of the engineering curricula. The principles formulated in the science of materials allow engineers to understand the nature and behavior of a wide variety of engineering materials. This course provides the information for engineers to anticipate the properties of materials not yet studied or developed. Includes a laboratory where students build an intuitive appreciation for the phenomenon being discussed in lecture. Prerequisite(s): CHM 101 Corequisite(s): MER-213L
