(Fall, Spring; Holt) Fundamental concepts of finance (time value of money, risk, and rates of return); analysis of financial statements; bond and stock valuation; capital budgeting; cost of capital, leverage, and optimal capital structure; long-term debt management; dividend policy; mergers and acquisitions; case study of the performance of an enterprise which seeks to maximize shareholder wealth. Prerequisite(s): At least one of ECO 241 , ECO 242 , or ECO 243 .
