PSY 350 - Psychotherapy

Course Units: 1
(Winter; Anderson-Hanley) This course provides a survey of the major historical and contemporary models of psychotherapy. This includes psychoanalytic, family systems, and cognitive and behavioral approaches, among others. Students will learn the theories, techniques, and processes involved in the practice of therapeutic approaches, and will learn factors that are similar across therapies as well as factors that distinguish each therapeutic model from the others. Prerequisite(s): PSY 250
