EGL 293 - Workshop in Poetry

Course Units: 1.0

(Fall: Smith) This is a course for students with a serious interest in writing poetry. Classes will be divided between discussions of literary technique, workshop critiques of student writing, and consideration of the work of several contemporary poets. Students will prepare a final portfolio of ten to fifteen pages. Prerequisite(s): One 100-level English course or a score of 5 on the AP English Language or Literature and Composition test.
