AMU 221 - From Rhythm and Blues to Radiohead: The History of Rock & Roll

Course Units: 1.0
(TBD: Staff) Explores the historical development of Anglo-American rock-and-roll through lecture, video and sound recordings. This course will rely heavily on film, with an accompanying series featuring documentaries, concert films, musicals and more. Students will gain a greater understanding of the socio-cultural contexts that informed stylistic change, as well as consider the continued relevancy of rock today.
