CSC 489 - Guided Research in Computer Science

(Winter: Striegnitz) This course is required by, and limited to, seniors who are not completing their WS requirement through the CSC 498-CSC 499 sequence. In this course, students will explore current research in one area of computer science (the choice of topic will vary) by reading, discussing, and critically evaluating scholarly publications and by carrying out their own research on a related topic. Students will gain experience in giving oral presentations and writing conference style papers in computer science. Prerequisite(s): CSC 497 and permission of the instructor.
