Introduction to semiconductors and solid-state devices. Electrons and holes, energy bands, carrier transport and dynamics, recombination and generation; p-n junctions and diodes; bipolar junction transistors; field-effect transistors; and optoelectronic devices (light-emitting diodes, photodiodes, and solar cells).
