While surveying the shared colonial histories of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh between 1800 and 1980s, this course asks: how did nationalistic identities emerge under colonialism? How do imagined borders materialize and shape identities, and what are the opportunities to think across them? Prerequisite(s): Since this is a survey course there are no prerequisites.
