FRN 431 - Voices of Francophone Literature from French-Speaking Countries and Territories other than France Course Units: 1.0 The ways contemporary writers from former French colonies in West and North Africa and from the French-speaking Caribbean stress local, social, political, religious, and gender matters in their novels and short-stories. We also examine these writers’ particular use of the French language according to local meanings and other strategies they develop to redefine post-colonial societies.
