PSC 333 - Twenty-First Century American Political Thought

An exploration of political thinking in regard to the multiple crises the United States faces in the 21^st century. Potential topics include threats to democracy in the United States by right wing groups and White Supremacy; specific challenges of structural racism, gender inequity, police violence, guns; social movements such as Black Lives Matter, #metoo, the Sunrise Movement; and the historical meanings of individualism, diversity, freedom, imperialism, and Western expansion in the US.
