AVA 350 -  Advanced Printmaking

Course Units: 1.0
A course for those ready to explore more technically challenging printmaking processes and further develop their artistic voice. Students propose a thematic intention they pursue through the course which will culminate in a conceptually and aesthetically coherent portfolio and artist statement. The body of work will be developed through 3 methods chosen collectively by the class. These methods could include chine colle, stone lithography, litho alternatives, and photo processes. Course will include in-depth discussions of personal aesthetic, creative process, and peer workshops. Open to students with previous printmaking experience. Prerequisite(s): AVA 150 , AVA 151   or permission of instructor. CC: HUM
