An exploration of physical violence on the stage from the classical to the contemporary. The basic techniques of unarmed Stage Combat will be introduced as well the use of the Medieval Quarterstaff and Elizabethan Rapier. Students at the conclusion of the course will be expected to be able choreograph a safely executed fight for the stage from an existing play. CC: HUM
