This course examines representations of migration in Spain through printed and visual media in the context of contemporary debates related to cultural, economic, and political changes. The course seeks to understand immigration’s racial, gender, sexual, religious, and other identities, as the Spanish nation and its people negotiate-often in paradoxical ways- social proximity to demographic diversity.
