SPN 310 - Spanish Communication & Marketing Course Units: 1 This project-based class empowers students to become strategic communicators and marketers for Spanish language and Hispanic cultures. Through the “Mythbusters: Spanish Edition” project, students will identify and debunk misconceptions about the value of a Spanish degree on social media and other platforms. They will research evidence-based counter-narratives, create impactful multimedia content, and assess its effectiveness, developing key Spanish skills in research, communication, marketing, digital media, and audience engagement. The course culminates in a professional portfolio showcasing students’ ability to advocate for the relevance of Spanish to a younger audience. Prerequisite(s): Take SPN 203 or two 250-299 level courses, or permission of the instructor. - Must be completed prior to taking this course. CC: GCAD, GWOL, WAC, WAC-R
