FIN 112 - Personal Finance Course Units: 1 This course examines how individuals make decisions related to personal finance in areas such as cash management, saving, budgeting, investing, borrowing, and managing risk. The goal of this course is to learn how to think critically about these decisions. We will examine the markets for consumer credit (credit cards, student loans, mortgages), saving/investment (bank accounts, mutual funds, stocks, bonds, and retirement plans), and insurance. We will review the basics of personal taxes and the impact on financial
planning.
