PSY 440 - Seminar in Human Development

This course provides an overview of some of the challenges facing children and families, and the policies and programs that have been designed to address these challenges. Specific attention will be given to ethnically and economically diverse children and families. Topics include immigration, poverty, parental leave, child-care and early education, child abuse and neglect, divorce, mental and physical health, education, and youth development.
