CEE 456 - Solid and Hazardous Waste Engineering Course Units: 1 This course introduces the principles and practice of solid and hazardous waste remediation, emphasizing sustainable and engineering-based solutions for contaminated materials and environments. Students will explore waste characterization, transport, treatment technologies (biological, thermal, and catalytic), and regulatory frameworks, with a strong focus on designing remediation strategies under real-world constraints. Recommended Environmental Engineering Technical Elective. Prerequisite(s): CHM 101 or CHM 110H , CEE 260 , CEE 350
