The major in neuroscience is designed for students with interests that primarily intersect the fields of biology, psychology, and computer science. Neuroscience focuses on the relationships between brain function, information processing, and behavior. Researchers in this field come from wide ranging backgrounds, including cognitive psychology, clinical neuropsychology, neuroimaging, neurobiology, molecular biology, genetics, neuroengineering, neuroethology, biopsychology, physiology, neurology, psychiatry, philosophy, and computer science. Thus, research questions are considered from many different angles, and often many different but converging methodologies are utilized.
